New to His Truth, My Voice?

Hi, and welcome to His Truth, My Voice!  My name is Judy Roberts and since January, 2014, I have been leading a study tour of the Bible which is unique in at least two ways. First, it is a Rocking and Rolling train trip through the Word of God–a trip which is taking us deep into the Land of Revelation Knowledge.  Second, upon our arrival in the Land of Revelation Knowledge, we began having the Bible presented to us as a Love Story in the format of a stage play.       Horatio, our travel agent, would like you to know that you can join the tour at any time; however, to get the most benefit from it,…

All the World’s a Stage–and Life its Cosmic Drama

Having just gone over the presentation of the Bible as a story, the program guide for that story, and the process by which that story will be presented to us—and, since we are rapidly approaching the first stage of the fourteen upon which our story will be presented—let’s use the few minutes we have before we arrive there to try and solidify in our minds the overall concept behind the production that we are about to witness.  The best way I know to do that is to draw upon what may seem like a rather unusual resource for instruction in Bible study, and that is the works of William Shakespeare. Making the Most of Our Travel Time

Now that we have all viewed the video, “The Bible:  The Story Behind the Story,” and we are all back on board the Truth Train, heading toward our first stop in the Land of Revelation Knowledge itself, let’s try to make the most of our travel time by… Going over what we learned from the video about the Presentation of the Bible as a story; Going over the Program Guide for the story—something which we will be using throughout the remainder of our study tour; and, Going over the Process by which this story will be presented to us.   The Presentation of the Bible as a Story As we learned from…

Let’s Recap, Rethink, Replace–and Then, Resume

Well, our somewhat extended stopover at the Welcome Center of the Word will soon be coming to an end.  However, before we get back on board the Truth Train and depart for the next stop on our Rocking and Rolling Tour through the Bible, I think it would be helpful for us to pause for a few minutes so that we can… Recap—or review where we have been and what we have learned so far; Rethink—that is, reconsider some of the traditional approaches to Bible study that we have used in the past; and, Replace—the approaches which tend to confuse us, with ones that will provide us with some measure of…

Mapping Out the Land of Revelation Knowledge

Now that we have unloaded as much baggage as we can bear to part with at the present time, let’s leave Booth #2 behind and make our way on over to Booth #3—still here at the Welcome Center of the Word—where we will find maps of the Land of Revelation Knowledge that we are preparing to visit.  As will any map for any traveler venturing into any new territory, these will prove to be great aids to us as we continue on our journey through the world of the Word. That’s because, through their clear delineation of boundaries, we will be able to determine the extent of, or the limitations imposed upon, the knowledge that will actually be made available to…
